IUI success stories? What do you think my chances are?

I was looking for some IUI success stories while on Clomid days 3-7 and HCG shot? Here is my story.. I did an insemination about 3 years ago, no clomid but did have the shot, and got BFP on the 1st try but lost the pregnancy due to low hormones, as well as a near fatal car accident. Now I in the process again, doing IUI, u/s showed uterine polyps, got them surgically removed on 06.03.2009. I was put on birth control from 07.04.2009-07.25.2009 they excpected me to be at day 3 of my period on 07.29.2009 but it never came. AF did not show her face till 08.10.2009, went for my baseline ultrasound on 08.13.2009 no cyst or anything to be worried about dr says all looks well... Started 100mg of clomid on 08.13.2009 I will be complete with the clomid on 08.17.2009, and then have another dr's appointment on 08.20.2009 (not really to sure what they are looking for at this dr's appointment. if you could help me out with this one I would appreciate it.) and then another appointment on 08.26.2009 where im guessing if whatever they are looking for looks good I will take my HCG shot and then she will do the insemination on 08.28.2009. I am looking for success stories, as well as wondering... why are they waiting so long after I stop the clomid to do the insemination? (I stop 08.17.2009 and IUI is not set until 08.28.2009?) and any other facts and stories I can get will make me happy... I need some support. Im in this alone.
