My dog is acting strangely... Please help!?

I just took my little two year old miniture dachsund/Jack Russell outside, and she was wobbling all over the place, skidded on the kitchen tiles, veering off to her left and she vomitted twice. She's been running around a lot today, we're looking after two excitable puppies, and I've heard it can cause by a surge of blood sugar in small dogs. She seems ok now, she's sleeping on my bed, and I'm definitely taking her to the vet in the morning, but has anyone else experienced this, and what do you think the cause could be?
