Crab-apples;What can I eat them with?

Hey! I have 2 or 3 Crap-apple trees in my back yard. I've always eaten crab apples.. well I don't really eat them I bite into them because they're tart and I kinda like that taste. Anyways, they're just staring to bloom or whatever you would call it and there's some crab-apples out there. I wanna eat them but I can't stand eating the whole thing because they're sour and tart. Is there anything I can eat them with that would make them taste better???? Like maybe a cream cheese fruit dip that I eat with gs and strawberries. I don't know. Also are crab-apples even okay to eat?
